Finding Love in Something New

“Vulnerability is the birthplace of innovation, creativity and change." - Brene Brown

This quote is GOLD, pure gold. And is so relevant in my life right now. Being vulnerable with others, and accepting and loving myself for who I am, is slowly opening my life to positive change. I have more energy and motivation to create and I want to share it with you.

I've found a new love for editing short videos. I’ve gotten into the iMovie app on my phone and I'm obsessed with how creative I can be! I am inspired to film all the places I explore and edit the footage to music that fits the feeling I had in the moment.

I love it because I can tell a story – I can invite people into my world and show them what I experienced. And by selecting the right music and honing in on special moments, I can help make people feel something…

Someone sitting at their desk at work can escape through a video I created and feel emotions I wanted them to feel. What an incredible thing!

I have become so eager to film and edit my videos that I’ve chosen to create movies instead of blog everyday… I’ve found something new that challenges me and allows me to maintain my creativity.

Whether it's blogging, filming videos, or designing fitness programs, practicing courage and challenging myself to learn something new has been my ultimate goal for growth this year.

It's not always easy, there are definitely days I wake up unmotivated and do things like lay in bed for hours, scroll social media, skip the gym and eat junk! (I'm a real rebel, I know) But I try to forgive myself and remember the end goal - what actions am I taking to be my best self?

If I can continue to live outside of my comfort zone and practice learning new skills, I can only become better than I was yesterday. These blogs/videos/vlogs push me to tell my story and get closer to figuring out who I am and what my purpose is. AMEN TO THAT!
